Corrina joined the Superior team in the fall of 2023 after having multiple Marketing roles during 4 years living in Columbus. She is a 2019 graduate of the University of Superior Aluminum, (aka the University of Dayton) where she studied Marketing and Business Analytics. In her free time, you can find Corrina enjoying time outside, coaching softball, spending time with family, going on a run, or watching another disappointing season of Reds baseball.
Todd has worked at Superior for over 25 years and became our Shop Superintendent in 2019. Todd is perfect for this role as his friendly demeanor and can-do attitude demonstrate his dedication to leadership in our shop. Todd enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandkids and also loves hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
Ed was born on a farm in Russia OH, on January 8th, 1939. He grew up helping his father on the farm until his graduation from Russia High School in 1957. After high school, Ed joined the Army Reserves and attended Miami Jacobs College, where he received an Associate’s Degree in Higher Accounting. He then worked for six years in cost accounting and purchasing at Shelby Mfg. Co. in Sidney, OH. He married his wife Merilyn in 1962, and had 4 children, Michele, Doug, Dave, and Kim.
In 1966, Ed Borchers and Tom Francis purchased Superior Aluminum products from Lou Burt of Youngstown, OH. They relocated the business to Russia, OH, in March 1967 and have since moved locations and undergone three expansions to increase manufacturing capacity. Since purchasing the company, Ed has served as Vice President and General Manager for 20 years, as well as the Company President for 20 years.
During those years, he also served on Russia Village Council and was Mayor of Russia for 8 years during the 1970’s. Ed has served on the Board Of Directors of Superior Aluminum Products, Versailles Savings & Loan, Sidney Hospital, United Way, Versailles Lions Club, Russia Park Board, and Shelby County Community Foundation. With all of his community involvement, generosity to his community, and friendly personality, Ed has become a beacon of living “The Superior Way” and a constant reminder of doing things the right way.
Today, at 86 years old, Ed still volunteers his time with numerous charitable organizations, and still shows up to work a few hours a week sending out Accounts Receivable collection invoices. Pay your bills on time, or you will hear from Ed!
Bruce started full-time in 1997 after several years of working part-time in high school. He worked the first 20+ years in shipping, eventually becoming the Foreman of the department for about 5 years. He then started transitioning into the office helping with duties in Purchasing. He now works full-time in the office, in both Purchasing and Inside Sales. Outside of work, Bruce enjoys spending time with his sister Christy, chasing his five kids around to their sporting events with his wife Carrie, and loves coaching basketball- both at the local high school and for his kids.
After 5 years of working in an aluminum foundry, Casey joined the company in early 2016. Starting in the shop, he developed a deep understanding of our manufacturing process and took on a role as our CNC Programmer. After moving to the office in 2022, he has transitioned onto our implementation team for Solidworks. When not at Superior, he enjoys traveling with his wife, as well as spending time with his family and 2 dogs.
With over 20 years of Operations and IT experience, Matt joined Superior in 2015 after spending the early part of his career in the Motorsports and Financial Services industries. Jayme is a former Russia resident and joined Superior in March of 2022. She is a 2018 graduate of Wright State University where she studied Organizational Leadership and Business. Before coming to Superior, Jayme held various roles such as Production Coordinator, Inventory Analyst, and Production Scheduler. Outside of work, Jayme enjoys hiking, reading, and going for walks with her husband, Isaac, and their dog. Jayme never backs down from a DIY home renovation project. She also loves traveling and trying out new restaurants and local shops with friends and family.
Rob joined the Superior team as Operations Manager in February of 2023. Rob comes to Superior after spending 34.5 years as a Manufacturing Engineer and Engineering Manager at Honda of America in Anna, Ohio. Rob has been tasked with finding and implementing activities that may drive efficiency gains in the shop. Rob also did an outstanding job leading our successful building expansion effort in 2023/2024. Rob is married, with 3 adult children, and still enjoys attending Russia School sporting events, as well as spending time at Indian Lake on the weekends.
Dan was brought on board in the fall of 2021 to be Superior’s Project Manager. With 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, Dan leverages his knowledge to help support project needs and new product development. In his spare time, Dan enjoys being with his family and spending time outdoors in the woods or on the lake.
Renee is an invaluable member of the Superior team with 25+ years of service to our office and administrative team. Renee was recently promoted to Office Manager and completed her Supervisory Leadership Certificate from the University of Dayton in 2022. Around the office, everyone can always count on Renee for a helping hand and a friendly smile. Outside of work, Renee enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, boating and wrangling her 8 grandkids.
Rob was hired in January of 2024 as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Along with designing railing, he also helps with project management, R&D, and manufacturing. After graduation from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he received experience with tool and die manufacturing, machining, and industrial automation through previous employment. He resides in Russia, where he enjoys spending time with his wife, triplets, and his family and friends. Rob also enjoys working with his hands, whether that be woodworking or projects around the house.
Kurt started in Superior’s weld shop in 2017 and worked for 8 years as a welder/ fabricator, before starting in the estimating department. When Kurt is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kristi, hunting, and tinkering with vehicles.
Chad lives in Ft. Loramie, where he grew up. He joined Superior in January of 2022. Chad has worked 9 years in the transportation industry, where he became the Operations Manager for a small transportation and warehousing company. Then he worked for Apex Aluminum Die Casting for 18 years as their Inventory Control Manager. In his spare time, Chad enjoys spending time with family, DIY projects, growing a large garden to share with family, hunting, and is always up for enjoying a cold one with friends, family, and neighbors.
Brandon joined the Superior team in November of 2022 as Controller. For the previous seven years, Brandon held various roles in the insurance industry, mainly focusing on tax accounting. He obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, rooting for his favorite sports teams, and golfing with his buddies.
Cole joined the Superior team in 2025, after spending 6 years as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Cole graduated from THE Ohio State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When Cole is not at work, he enjoys running around outside with his daughters and watching as much football as possible. Who Dey!
Noah is a resident of Fort Jennings, OH, who joined the Superior team in September 2024. He recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Information Systems. At work, Noah supports the ERP system upgrade and various IT tasks. When he’s not working, you can find Noah on the golf course, watching his favorite sports teams, or spending time with family and friends.
Sam joined the Superior team in March of 2025 in the engineering department, assisting with estimating and takeoffs. He is a 2019 graduate of Miami East High School and currently resides in Piqua, Ohio. In his free time, Sam likes to golf, watch baseball, create models with his 3D printer, and spend time with family.
A 2015 graduate of the University of Dayton, Craig joined the Superior sales team in January of 2020 following 4 1/2 years in the legal industry. Craig works with a wide range of customers spanning multiple types of projects, and varying size businesses. In his off time, Craig enjoys time with his wife, four pets, and chasing a little white ball around the golf course (ask him about his hole-in-one!).
Craig is the Human Resources Manager and started back in 2006. His role includes employment, benefits and driving company culture. Prior to Superior, he was a recruiter of over-the-road truck drivers for 12 years after graduating from Wright State University. Outside of work, Craig enjoys high school sports broadcasting and weekend recreation in Dayton, Ohio.
Zach was hired in January 2025 as an estimator. After graduation from the University of Dayton with a degree in Civil Engineering, Zach got design and construction experience from several civil design firms across mid & southern Ohio. Zach resides in Minster, OH with his wife and four kids. When not at work, Zach spends his time chasing his kids around and enjoying a cold one with friends.
After spending some time as a part-time employee in high school and college, Dustin joined the team full-time after graduating from Ohio State in 2015. Mr. Schemmel initially worked on the marketing team before moving to his current role of Business Development Manager. Outside of aluminum railing, Mr. Schemmel enjoys spending time with his wife Jenni and his five children and attending or watching the latest sporting event with family and friends while likely simultaneously running some sort of contest related to it. Additionally, Mr. Schemmel owns the largest mental database of incredibly useless knowledge in the office.
Austin began at Superior Aluminum in May of 2020. Austin graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management in 2018 and is working as a Project Manager and Estimator for Superior. In Austin’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Bri, grain farming with his family, and working in his cattle barn where he raises the top beef in the area.
Carter began at Superior Aluminum in February of 2023 after working in the Construction Industry during summers and college breaks since 2017. Carter graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management in 2022 and is working as an Estimator and Project Manager for Superior. In Carter’s free time, he enjoys boating, snowmobiling, snowboarding, riding his motorcycle, riding his horse, and always enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
John was hired in January of 2017 as a member of the engineering staff. He has a broad background that includes being a manufacturing engineer, design engineer, and a sales/application engineer for industrial fan manufacturers. John enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter working together on their family farms. John’s family farm was established by the family in 1847 and his wife Evonne’s family farm was established in 1869. John and his family currently live on John’s family farm and their daughter is the seventh generation to reside on the property.
Diane joined Superior in January of 2018 and has transitioned through various job duties during her time here. Her current responsibilities are invoicing, credit applications, freight damage claims, and customer service/sales support. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business at Edison State Community College and was employed as an Administrative Assistant before taking time off to raise her four sons with her husband, Dan on their family farm. Diane then went back to work as a teacher’s aide for the Russia Local School system for 11 years. In her spare time, Diane enjoys outdoor activities, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Tony joined Superior Aluminum in 2014 as an engineer. In addition to working on many of our Series 7 and 9 Series projects, he has been taking on the role of CAD Administrator for our software programs. Tony’s prior employment experience includes custom home design, project management, and healthcare facility design with over 30 years of experience. Outside of work, Tony is married and enjoys snowmobiling, ATV riding, and spending time with his family. He can be found in local farm fields metal detecting for treasures associated with our nation’s early history.
Tom is on his second stint with Superior; having started out in 1977 drilling castings for his father Dick Kueterman (shop supervisor for 26 years). After earning a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton he worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry. After 20 years in northern Ohio, Tom and his wife Melanie moved back to the area and he started here in 2022 as our IT Specialist. Besides managing the computer network and software systems Tom is the office expert on calculating escape velocity, orbital mechanics, and is more sarcastic than Chad.
Scott is a resident of Maria Stein, Ohio who has been with Superior Aluminum Products since shortly after his graduation from Edison College with an engineering degree in 2005. Scott draws the majority of our apartment projects, mostly focusing on our Series 9 square picket railing. When Scott is not drawing railing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters as well as his friends.
Suzy Grilliot works in order entry and customer service for our columns giving general column information and price quotes. She started at Superior in 1999 after graduating from Edison State Community College with an Associate’s degree in Office Systems and Administration. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors with her three children.
Lauren became a part of the Superior Aluminum family in February of 2021. Prior to working at Superior, Lauren earned a degree in Human Resource Management and spent 7 years in the banking industry. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family.
Ryan is a resident of Rockford, Ohio who has been with Superior Aluminum Products since shortly after his graduation from Wright State with an engineering degree in 1999. Ryan is the chief engineer and spends most of his time drawing our Series 5 pipe railing product. When Ryan is not drawing railing, he usually can be found at some sort of event for one of his four children or assembling a custom closet.
Lindsay joined Superior in the summer of 2022 after spending a few years managing different marketing, PR, and social media campaigns. Lindsay is a hobby photographer and enjoys using that skill at Superior. Outside of work, you can find Lindsay spending time with her family, traveling, camping, and making people laugh…or trying to!
Jason joined Superior in September of 2022 and began filling in the role of logistics manager a month later. He takes pride in helping to ensure Superior’s products arrive to our customers safely and on schedule. Prior to working at Superior, Jason owned a local ice cream shop. In addition to working at Superior, he is currently a high school girls’ basketball coach for Fort Loramie, where he resides with his wife and four daughters.
Chad has been working in the construction industry for over 10 years, honing his skills as a salesman in addition to developing new products and systems to streamline the fabrication and installation process. Chad is a versatile asset to any general contractors’ team and happy to help with design, estimating, pricing and value engineering. Furthermore, Chad is our resident biology expert and was recently awarded the most sarcastic individual in the office designation.
Ryan started at Superior Aluminum Products in 1998 after graduating from the University of Dayton in 1997. He is now our Vice President of Sales and has really enjoyed the progression of his career at Superior. When he’s not selling railing, columns, and fence, you can find Ryan spending time with his wife and 3 kids, golfing, exercising, or enjoying a nice glass of bourbon. You may also recognize Ryan from his “big break” as the narrator for Superior’s Snap-Tite™ PVC column videos. He’s always ready and willing to represent us well!
Doug became the President of Superior in 2016. He is the son of Ed Borchers, one of the company’s original two patriarchs, and worked at Superior for 8 years during the summers while in school. After graduating from the University of Dayton, Doug spent 11 years with Eaton Corporation in multiple cities, ending up as the District Manager of Southern Ohio and Indiana, and obtained his MBA (also from UD) along the way. He then spent 19 years as the Vice President of both a wholesale distributor and a 100-employee custom electrical panel building shop, helping to grow the business by over 800% while he was there. When the weather cooperates you’ll catch Doug on the golf course still searching for that perfect swing (and these days, some needed extra distance). In the wintertime you’ll find him at a University of Dayton basketball game sitting right beside Ed, each with a cold beverage in their hands.
